'Second-Order Vagueness and Instability of Judgments'
Vagueness in judging the truth of statements was measured by
looking at the stability of judgments across two occasions, and allowing one
group to opt out of a True/False decision if they were uncertain, whereas the
second group had to say True/False to each statement. People changed their
minds about whether they were uncertain just as often as about whether the
statements were true or false, but not for all domains of knowledge.
